Press Statement from PROGJAM Management London UK & San Diego CA USA 16/02/2009

L-R Alex King, Matt Clark, Andy Tillison Diskrive, Dan Watts. Feb 15 2009

The highly respected yet relatively unknown band Po90 (Parallel or 90 Degrees) will return for active service in 2009 (Including a special guest slot at the UK SUMMERS END FESTIVAL), after an absence of more than 7 years during which time their previous albums have become much sought after collectors items. A new album "Jitters" will be released in November 2009. The band once again features Andy Tillison Diskdrive (whose successes with the international Progressive Rock band "The Tangent" are well documented) on keyboards, vocals etc, Dan Watts on guitar and electronic treatments (Dan has spent much of he time since Po90 last playing working on TV music including the "Sarah Jane Adventures " spinoff of the popular "Doctor Who"), Alex King on Drums. These three regualrs are joined by new member Matt Clark on Bass, Matt has worked extensively already with Dan and Alex in a band called British Fiction which continues to operate and will not be affected by the new Po90.

Likewise, The Tangent remains a going concern, with their new album "Down And Out In Paris And London" - also seeing release in November of 2009

"The time is right" said Andy TD "this band has never announced a split, but it has been on a back burner for far too long, and the amount of good things people have had to say about our work since the release of our compilation album have added extra impetus to our enthusiasm. It's great to playing together again, we are full of ideas and we feel our new material is among the strongest we have ever had. The musicians in Po90 are among the most innovative and open minded people I have had the fortune to work with. It's good that we're adding Matt too.. Po90 has a history of doing well with new input

Po90 have to date produced 5 Studio albums (on the UK Cyclops label) between 1996 and 2001. A DVD recorded in 2001 remains as yet unreleased and January of this year saw the release of the compilation album "A Can Of Worms" which featured a lot of previously unavailbale material. Recent reviews have described the band as "Wildly Inventive", "Grossly Overlooked" and "One Hell Of A Ride". They describe themseves as an "Utterly 21st Century Progressive Rock Band" whose ties to artists like Radiohead, Muse and Ian Brown are just as important to their Progressive Rock influences. They have employed techniques found normally in dance/trance/drum and bass, electro and thrash metal, weaving them together with Andy Tillison's politically charged yet story based lyrics and a vast respect for the adventurous music of the early seventies so often condemned by an ignorant media attitude.

Andy's "The Tangent" project has become one of the most successful progressive bands of the 2000s, - the group was originally a collaboration between the even better known Flower Kings, (Roine Stolt, Jonas Reingold) and the little known Po90. As the "other band" involved in that project, Progjam are delighted to announce the rebirth of Po90 and will look forward to announcing the new album later this year.

The groups performance at the Summer's End and Prog Resiste Festivals in October this year will be a great launching point for the band.
